<p>James Anderson will play a second successive game for <a title="Lancashire County Cricket Club" href="http://www.lccc.co.uk" target="_blank">Lancashire</a> this week before linking up with England for the <a title="World Twenty20" href="http://icc-cricket.yahoo.net/events_and_awards/twenty20/index.php" target="_blank">World Twenty20</a>.</p>
<p>The pace bowler’s appearance in the opening LV= County Championship game against Warwickshire was his first comptitive action since returning from England’s tour of South Africa in January &#8211; and his first game for Lancashire in almost a year.</p>

<p><a title="James Anderson" href="http://jamesandersoncricket.com">James Anderson</a>, the Burnley Express, whistled into Shropshire yesterday ready to prove his fitness ahead of one of the biggest years in the history of English cricket.</p>
<p>England’s leading paceman has been struggling with a niggling knee injury since returning from the winter tour of South Africa and sat out the recent visit to Bangladesh.</p>
<p>But 27-year-old Anderson has made encouraging progress in recent weeks and expects to make his comeback for Lancashire in a pre-season game against Durham University on Saturday.</p>
